I had an appointment at The Salon in Sandwich. I made the appointment for 9am as I wanted to discuss the colouring of my hair. I arrived at 8.50. The nice receptionist made me a coffee. Well, more people came in and I was still sitting waiting there for my stylist. At 9.30 they decided to phone her and she forgot to set her alarm!! Another girl started on my hair, a long story to go into but I was not at all happy and this is not a cheap salon! When my stylist did arrive she went straight to her next client and ignored me. It just went downhill and I just wanted to leave. What a disaster. Needless to say I have contacted the owner, who wasn’t in today. I had been looking forward to a relaxing couple of hours and it turned out to be far from it.
Things improved as in the evening we went to Margate to see Chas and Dave. They are always very good and it’s a special place to see them in Margate as they love that venue. For Chas and Dave, the venue is set out with tables rather than concert seating and always after the interval everyone is up and dancing and again when they (and us) sing “Dahn to Margit”, you would think we lifted the roof!
It’s always a good night with them.
