An important note from KAR, for dog owners in TRNC…..

 

“We have received reports of Palm Oil on the beaches of TRNC – in particular Aligadi. It is poisonous to dogs and there are already cases coming in of dogs eating it and becoming very unwell and needing vet treatment.
Palm Oil often looks like firelighter and can have a smell similar to diesel.It is often dumped at sea and washes ashore on the tide.
Please if you are walking your dogs on the beaches here be extra careful.”

We went to Minnis Bay, it was quite windy, well, actually a lot windy. One of the beaches was covered with jelly fish

Many in the TRNC will know of Marian Stokes, who set up the Homebuyers Pressure Group. Sadly she passed away on the 19th. Her funeral will be held at Lapta Cemetery on Thursday 24th December.  Rest in Peace Marian.

In the evening we went to Kent Uni to see The Albion Christmas Band. They always get me in the Christmas mood, with carol singing  and lots of fun But I remember the days when they used to stand not all sit down!  In fact I used to take Torin and Rhys to see two of them, Ashley Hutchins (now MBE) and Simon Nicol way back, maybe 30 years ago!!
