I took Ellie out early, having decided Marion is never going to make the early morning walk. She is usually still asleep when we come back but look what she misses…..
We decided we were going to have a day at home as it is hotting up (36deg). Previously we had discussed going to the Merit Royal for lunch one day. So, we changed our minds and went today! Lunch there has now gone up to 60tl but still a bargain as that includes everything , three courses, drinks and coffees , everything.
Marion was suitably impressed but we had to keep having breaks in between courses. Marion doesn’t usually bother with desert but she did today! In fact she sampled quite a few.
We were full by the time we left. We waited quite a while to pay and no one seemed too bothered so we had to ask the chef to go and find someone. In the end a guy came, took our money and suggested next time we book a table. Neither of us could understand his logic as it is a huge restaurant and there were only about 8 other people in there!
From there we walked next door to the other new building, having been told these were to be high class apartments with shops below. Not at all….next door is Merit Royal Premium!! So we went and had a nose around there! Well, not many guests in either!
We have actually sat on our terrace and watched these being built.
