A beautiful early morning walk in the mountains with a nice breeze for a change.
Mal had a long overdue hair cut. Not just a hair cut, the full works. He had two face masks! 30tl for the lot! The second face mask was still on when I went to collect him, I had to laugh. They even gave me a coffee while I waited.
While he was having his hair cut I had been in Lemar to get some shopping. I came out of there to an almighty bang on the road. Two cars had collided. I don’t know exactly what happened. Having spoken to a local we both agreed perhaps some of the money spent by the new mayor on flower beds could have been put to better use making that junction safer. It is just an accident waiting to happen. Well, it did happen and that is not the first.
I also went next door to Wines of the World as Mal was running out of London Pride beer. I hadn’t realised they have a summer special on, a case for 72tl, which works out at 3tl each. What a bargain! Well, Mal was pleased anyway!
Ken came round in the afternoon and brought another book he has written and illustrated. A very talented man.
