Oh wow did we have a storm during the night? Thunder, lightning and then torrential rain. When Ellie and I went out, I had to wear shoes and a mac! By the time we were back home, the sun was out again.
Gardening in the morning. I felt something itching on my back. So many people have told me that they have had ticks on them, I am terrified I will get one as Ellie has them on her when we come back from walks. Well, it would have been quite funny to watch me trying to decide which glasses to put on to look in the mirror, my reading glasses or driving glasses. I think it is a mole but just to make sure I wanted something to touch it, so used the fly swatter. It’s in a very difficult position to see!

It’s that time of year again. News from Karsiyaka Turtle Watch ….”The 1st nest has been laid at Guzelyali, Named ‘Connie’ (KTW’s Name a Nest’) this was Sat 31/5, we also had a nest at Rosie’s Bar Lapta and we have left that caged in their safe hands. These nests will be due to hatch around 20/7.”
And some more good news from them “Thanks to Birol at DSI (Water Pipeline) we had a meeting with him last week and asked for his help, he has excelled and all fences are renewed or repaired, so turtles will stay safely on the beach, unable to wander into DSI’s compounds.”
In the afternoon I watched the Murray match. He is now in the last 8 at the French Open.
In the evening I watched “I bought a rain forest.” Very idealistic, it will be interesting to see how the series progresses.
