Hot off the press news about Kulaksiz 5.

My leg has started to hurt, perhaps too much weeding but Mal insisted I have a day off. He pressure washed all the garden paths to remove 3 months “green”!

I went to Atakara, really just to buy Cyprus Today as NCFP readers seem to like it, saves them paying 4tl for little content.  Of course I bought an olive loaf too, that we had for breakfast. It was such a lovely day I then went out to tackle more of the garden. At least the ground is still damp and so less trouble weeding.

We were invited to lunch with David and Kenny. Res came as well but a bit sad that George didn’t join us. But we had a lovely time with delicious food as always! Thank you D & K.

We went to pay our house insurance with Steve and then Lena and Willy invited us over for coffee. It was nice to see them again and Ingrid came to visit too and of course brought Pearl with her. She has grown so much but then it is a long time since we saw her last. She is such a happy baby.

We spent the day in the South with Margaretha. Lunch in Ikea and visits to Carrefour and Jumbo as well so a nice day out with the sun shining. We dropped my car off at Ziggy’s garage in the morning for a service and to refix the rear light. By the time we came back from the South it was all done. Total cost 220tl.

I was sent some photos today of our grand daughter Violet. It looks as though she is following in her mums footsteps becoming a model.

A lovely sunny day. I managed to get all my washing dry. We only did a few of our long list of never ending jobs. We did discuss with David and Kenny yesterday that there is always something to do and after 3 months away, there is loads to do here.

For those who may not be aware, voting is going on in the South of Cyprus today for a new President.

Early evening we watched a very one sided Liverpool (5) v Swansea (0) game.

Storms in the night and we woke up to more rain.

We went shopping and bought Cyprus Today. So, the pluig has been pulled on speed cameras here because they haven’t paid their electricity bill!!!

One of our patio door locks had broken and so we managed to get another and Mal fitted that.

In the afternoon we went to see David and Kenny. They had very kindly been paying our water bills while we were away. In their words, while we were there we had a good “blether”. We have missed them!

In the afternoon we went to “Dodgy Turk” to have our TV box changed. She told us to come back in an hour as she had to set the new box up. In the end we just sat and waited. We popped into Ileli on the way home. They have Timotei conditioner in there for 1.99tl and also we bought some lovely broccoli for 1.50tl a kilo (far cheaper than the UK!)

The Tale of Bonelli’s Eagle, here in North Cyprus……when will they ever learn? We have said this every time dogs are poisoned, it is not just dogs but wildlife too.
