More gardening…never ending! A lot of bargains, I seem to get sent so many and spend ages sifting through them.

We took Rosie out and found masses of Friars Cowl, everywhere we walked.

We had to order some more logs and had another 3 ton delivered, in the long run it is cheaper than just getting 1 or 2 ton. He came in the morning and Mal stored them all away.

It was COLD during the night!  One of my pictures shows the frost on the ground when we took Rosie out. A good walk discovering orchids in abundance and also collecting bags of pine cones. We met Sergay (our neighbour) when we were walking and he asked what was in our bags and then proceeded to tell us that in Russia they make tea out of the pine cones.

More gardening in the morning and then we had our lunch outside but if the sun went behind clouds, it was a little chilly. I had a little robin, who followed me around the garden and came and sat next to me…until Rosie joined us.

Now this is a bargain camera and great for kids as well as adults only £25!

We walked along the beach with Rosie first thing, smelly dog found a huge dead fish that had washed ashore and decided to roll in it. Mal did throw the ball in the sea so she had to swim but she still smelt! On the way home we stopped at Samar Market. What a surprise, they still didn’t have any stock of their Selpack toilet tissue. This time we were told ‘yarin’ (tomorrow). It may be a case of tomorrow never comes, we’ll see! So, on to Atakara to get some warm freshly baked bread.

I was going up our drive when I saw a chameleon, a good thing I spotted him! Hissing Chameleon. It did eventually move and of course then when I drove the car up the rest of the drive, I had to keep looking in case it had hidden anywhere. I find them so fascinating.

Meanwhile I had to shower a smelly Rosie.

The sun was out and warmer than the previous day so it was lunch outside and then we had a game of cards.

Well, I don’t think I have seen Britvic bitter lemon this cheap!

It was a COLD day. We had the log burner going and all the oil filled rads, blow the expense!

I had seen that a new Express market had opened in Alsancak read more about Samar Express. I was not impressed and went to Starling to buy Cyprus Today.  I had intended going back to Samar Express but then decided to stay in the warm indoors.

Mal had more online Maths tuition with River and I watched the FA football, Chelsea a draw and Arsenal are now out, having lost!

For anyone who likes the occasional G & T, now is the time to stock up on your tonic! Britvic Tonic

What a day, rain, hail and very high winds! Anyone would think it was winter. I went to the shops in the morning and the car door almost blew off when I came out of the supermarket.

In the afternoon we were invited to Lena’s for coffee and birthday cake, as it was her birthday. Delicious birthday cake that Ingrid had made.

Well done Afrika Gazetesi for publishing the K5 story!  The heading “Utanin” translated “Shame on you” and that comment is not talking about K5!!

Early evening I looked at the weather forecast 12 degrees in London and 6 degrees in Girne!!

The day started off well with a dry walk by the beach and Rosie having a swim. I don’t think I have seen so many rainbows as I have in the last month.

I booked my flights with Pegasus for my next trip back as the prices seem to be going up already. I also booked a hire car with Easycar. The one they gave me was to be collected somewhere else and not the airport arrivals hall, so as they have a 24 hour cancellation policy I emailed and said I wanted one to be collected from arrivals. They sorted it out for me in no time at all and seeing as I complain when I have bad service, I will now sing the praises of Easycar for having such excellent customer service!  AND it was far cheaper than any other rental company from Stansted.
