Sunday 5th June 2011

The temperature is rising! Rosie and I had a good walk in the morning, she seems to want to go a bit further each day and along with the warmer weather I am seeing marked improvement with her leg.

Lunchtime I was invited to a BBQ at David and Kenny’s. Seren and Colleen were also there. It was a delicious BBQ and excellent company. There is a house next door to David and Kenny’s that another Russian has bought and it seems they, along with our other Russian neighbour are not content to leave the house as they bought it but to rip out kitchen and bathrooms and replace them. I might add these houses when bought have high spec fittings. So, as we sat there just starting to eat, one of the workmen started a high pitched drilling right next to where we were eating. David told him in no uncertain terms that it was Sunday and he had guests. At least they stopped.

Before long I think this is going to be “Russian corner”!

It was a very pleasant afternoon. Thank you David and Kenny.

I arrived back home just in time to send the end of the Federer v Nadal final. Nadal did very well to beat Federer.

Thought for the Day – “Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you’ll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.” ~ Ralph Marston
