I didn’t wake up until 6.45, late for Rosie and I! I took her out and noticed that one of the street dogs had been through everyone’s rubbish during the night, the dustmen come very early on Thursday mornings. In fact she was still outside Lena’s gate and cowered as we went near to her. Rosie had a sniff at her and then a little play and then she ran off. She is a very sweet brown and white pointer but has a KAR tag in her ear.

Talking of dogs, as I write the poor dog at the Russian house is barking non stop. I seriously don’t know why they have got a dog. It is never walked and so I can’t blame the dog. It is big and needs exercise which it never gets. David has complained to her before and is going to complain again but I think it is like water off a ducks back.  Rosie and Jekka (David’s dog), used to join in occasionally but even they are fed up with the constant barking. So, a dog barking at one side of the house and Mustafa had a tractor ploughing his land the other side…dust everywhere. More in the pool!

Wednesday 1st June 2011

Rosie’s leg seems to have improved a little I noticed during our morning walk. She is on pain killers all the time so I was hoping for some improvement. Keep taking the tablets!

I still had ‘the bug’ and in spite of taking antibiotics, felt really rough or perhaps, they are making me feel that way. Mal is the same, one day seems OK and the  next no energy! It was a ‘no energy’ day and so I did very little apart from freeze my masses of basil that I have grown from seed.

I did go and buy Cyprus Today but really struggled to find any ‘news’ in it. see link

For anyone who doesn’t know there is a Facebook Group,  ‘Stop the Blackmail in North Cyprus’ see link .

I settled down to watch the tennis in the afternoon. We have two Eurosport channels and previous days it was tennis on both channels. Not today and of course they chose the Nadal match (which he won). But I did manage to get Murray’s match on the internet with Justintv. When Nadals match finished on the TV, they did show the end of the Murray match. So, he is through to the quarter finals but is such an eratic player…..who knows if he will go any further!
