The weather forecast was right, light rain first thing and then much heavier. We managed to get on the beach in the light rain! No matter what the weather, Ellie enjoys herself.
Back to the caravan for a dry out when the heavy rain came. Mal had an hours work to do anyway, which fitted in nicely. He teaches teachers online.
The rain stopped by lunchtime and so we were able to continue as planned and go and have lunch at the Fish Shack in Dungeness. There is only outdoor seating and it literally is a shack with a wetfish shed next door BUT they have the most amazing fish. I always have the lobster!
We walked around Dungeness. It really is a weird place.
From there we went to Lydd and had a look around All Saints church. Then on to Rye. We went and had a pot of tea at our favourite cafe, The Corridor Cafe. Of course we know all the dog friendly places. Another beach walk on the way home.
In the evening we drove to Saint Mary in the Marsh and went to The Star, a lovely friendly pub. They introduced Ellie to their dog!
