Mal took Ellie walking and I went shopping early. I have just discovered that Homebase is back at Westwood. It changed to Bunnings but is now back to Homebase again! It happened to be the only place that I could get special picture frame hangers that I was after.
At last plenty of runner beans. They are my favourite vegetable and also it seems the favourite of the local rabbits and slugs! Mal has kept putting more and more in until he was successful. I think he will have to cage them next year.
They were delicious.

On Friday 12th October 11am – 4pm (tbc) we’re inviting volunteers to the farm near Sandwich to help harvest delicious apples and possibly some pears.
On Monday 15th October 11am-4pm (tbc) we’re heading to a farm near Tonbridge where we’ll be harvesting apples.
All these scrumptious fruits will then be donated to charities that feed people affected by food poverty”
