Ellie and I were up just before it was light and so we went for a long walk by the river.
Rhys and I planned to meet for lunch. We met at Westwood and then drove to Margate looking for inspiration but a few of the places we thought of going to were closed, I guess they think summer is over so are only opening in the evenings. We carried on driving and Rhys suggested we just go somewhere for a coffee or back to Westwood. We were driving past Manston so I said we should go in the Jolly Farmer.
We had a drink and looked at the menu and ordered something to eat. Rhys’s came OK and mine was the wrong meal. I ordered sea bass with vegetables, instead I had sea bass linguine. So they took it back, obviously scooped the sea bass from the top and plonked it on some mashed potato. I was then told the vegetables would come soon. I waited and in the end started eating the fish which had obviously been kept warm and was by now looking dried up. Ages afterwards the vegetables arrived. Not the best meal and so we didn’t leave a tip!
Rhys went off to do his school run and I came home, both of us saying we would be a lot more organised next week.
