I noticed yesterday that my car brakes were feeling very spongy. I really can’t have dodgy brakes with the maniacs on the road here. I told Mal we would have to get it sorted and I wasn’t driving it until then.
We did our walk down in the ravine. First we met David walking Jekka and then later Kenny with Loppi. It’s Kenny’s birthday today, so we left something at their entrance!
We then drove the car down to Ziggy. Brake fluid had leaked out, so he opened a new can, topped it up, bled all the brakes and I have brakes again! He gave us the rest of the can just to top up if necessary. How much for 20 minutes work plus the whole contents of the brake fluid can? 20 tl!!!! (about £5.50 at today’s prices) I wonder how much in the UK? Good old Ziggy.
A good thing the brakes were working well on the way home as I just noticed in time, a rather large chameleon sitting in the middle of the road. I would have been really upset had I squashed him.
