I had the appointment with the consultant but he said he has not received any test results! He examined me and said I need a CT scan. More waiting.

Apologies, I have not been well for over a week. Cold/flu/laryngitis amongst other things. After trying to navigate around a broken NHS, I am lucky enough to have a consultants appointment tomorrow!

Another miserable day. We took Ellie to Sandwich Lakes.  Very muddy but they have a dog paddock there, with a bit of protection from trees. It ‘s a lovely place in the summer but why not try in the winter?!

Of course after the walk we went in to the cafe to get warm! They had all the log burners alight.

We spent the afternoon watching Olympics….we have another gold! Three now!

We exchanged Valentine’s cards and presents and then I went to M&S to buy one of their Valentine meals. When I was there I decided against it and preferred a smoked salmon, prawn and cream cheese starter and then saw some mussels, much more inviting than their set meal! Sicilian compote for dessert and then I bought a bottle of Whispering Angel wine. It cost more than their set meal but much better content! I’d rather choose things we like.

Hammers were playing in the afternoon and managed to get through in extra time!!

Mal cooked dinner and then we watched “The Ballad of Wallis Island.” We really enjoyed it.

Mal went to a writing course at Walmer Castle, so Ellie and I dropped him off and walked along the sea front. Coincidently we applied to re-join English Heritage the previous day but haven’t a number yet, so we had to pay £4 for the car park.

The sun did come out for about 5 minutes.

Wingham Orchards for our walk and the sun was out!! What a change.

On the way home we were passed by a lot of Police with blue lights flashing. Exactly as I guessed they were going to the  Pro Palestinian demonstration. Why the blue lights? Hardly an emergency!!

We stopped at Wingham Farm shop again and yes, we bought three more pots for the garden!!!

Now that is what I like to see in the garden!! It has been a long winter.

In the evening it was a Red Hatter “out”. I met Pam and Ali at the Granville Theatre in Ramsgate.

We waited for Penny but by 7.25 Pam decided to phone her. She had forgotten all about it!! Oh dear.  It was a Dire Straits tribute. Money for Nothing. I have to say they were very good.

The only problem with the Granville is that there is no car park, so you end up walking a long way to the car, not good late at night.

We walked Ellie in Minster and the sun was out for a couple of minutes but it was so muddy.

Back home and I decided to clean my wellies and bag as they really are so caked in mud. Of course tomorrow they will be just the same again.

In the afternoon back to the Canterbury dentist to take impressions. I called in to Wingham Farm shop on the way back to get some apples and they had frost proof garden pots for ridiculously low prices. They were priced half the original price and now 50% off that! They are changing supplier and so are selling the old stock at cost price!! I bought two.
