A work day at Cancer Research and I have to say it was possibly the worst Monday I have worked there. The card machine packed up LAST Monday and in spite of them saying it would be replaced within 24 hours, a week on and still no machine! Not only that, still no Cancer Research Carrier Bags nor new person’s gift aid forms. The fact they closed so many shops at the end of last year, surely there are things from those shops? Who am I as a volunteer to say anything? I just try and explain to all the customers and tell them is a cash machine next door. Hopeless if their card is on their phone!! So much custom has been lost in the last week.
