Friday 3rd July 2026

We went to the Viking Ship for a walk in the shade and then had a coffee there.

We then dropped Ellie off at home and went to Wingham Wildlife. It is not far from us.

Awan and Jin, the orangutans have a gorgeous baby named Tonic. We watched him for quite a while. To begin with he had a dummy in his mouth!

Thursday 2nd July 2026

Apricot harvesting time in Wingham Orchards. It was still a warm day even with the dark clouds. There was a nice breeze which meant Ellie was up for a long walk.

More local apples from the farm shop and back home to watch the tennis! The sun really came out in the afternoon.

Wednesday 1st July 2026

Another early morning walk with Ellie, in the King George VI park.  Most of the park is shaded.

We were invited to a Guide Dog talk at Whitstable Castle.

It was so interesting with talks from a seasoned Puppy Raiser and a blind gentleman with his trusty dog Rufus.

It is amazing how they keep going with the lack of trainers and puppy raisers. Of course they have many volunteers. We both thoroughly enjoyed it.

Then in the evening we watched the England game. It was a little like watching Spurs! But they did win.
