Ellie slept quite well considering what she has been through, followed us downstairs and slept again.

I have to admit it does bother me her having anaesthetic when she is nearly 12.

The vet called at 11 to see if she was OK.  I told her there was a slight bit of blood after her breakfast, obviously nothing to worry about. She has to go back  for a proper follow up next Tuesday.

Well, this about sums it up!

Mal went off to the allotment in the afternoon, thankfully Ellie slept quite a bit.

Spurs won their game in the evening!

I still didn’t feel 100% but we had to take Ellie to the vets at 8.30 for her teeth extractions. Today she didn’t want to go in, obviously remembered the last time when she had her teeth cleaned.  More stress!  We waited, waited all day to hear how she was doing. 5 teeth out, how I empathise!

But some lovely photos from Sol of our great grand daughter.

Milly and Luna have had to go back into hospital but all OK now.

The vet phoned at 4pm saying Ellie was just waking and all had gone well and the teeth had come out fairly easily, thank goodness. We had to wait for another 2 hours to make sure she was OK. She was very glad to see us but tired. We now have to soak her food so that she is able to eat it. I had bought some soft food but don’t want to upset her tummy by changing.

She was obviously still sleepy but went out in the garden to do her business and then slept on the floor (on her bed)  by my side of the bed. A bit of lip smacking during the night but at least she slept.

Sunday 10th December 2023

The morning in Kearsney Abbey while the sun was out for a short time.

Of course Ellie was jumping in and out of the stream which is much deeper than usual.

Lunchtime we met up with Tris and Violet at Olby’s Soul Cafe, to hand over Christmas presents and have lunch “the best roast on the coast” they boast. It is very good and huge.

It was nice to see Tris and Violet as Violet is spending Christmas with her mum in Canada.

We were back home in time to watch Spurs win their game!

Saturday 9th December 2023

A very wet walk. We were all soaked but Ellie just lies on a towel to be dried off when we get home…..

We watched some football and then watched “Your Christmas or Mine 2”, it was funny. Time to start the Christmas movies!
