Friday 2nd June 2023

I went in to volunteer for work as I have had so many bank holiday Mondays off!  We took quite a lot and had masses of donations. Back to normal from next Monday.

On the way back I called in at the huge Cancer Research shop just opened at Westwood. it is massive and they have about SEVEN paid staff, I can’t believe that. What happened to the volunteers?

Thursday 1st June 2023

It may be 1st June but the weather doesn’t feel like it, quite a cold wind. It warmed up a little in the afternoon so I was out in the garden. I sowed some more courgettes in pots to keep here as a lot are getting munched at the allotment. I love the ‘Gold Rush’ as the skins are always so thin and tender. I just hope we get more sun for them.

We have a solitary pigeon who comes into the garden. He spends a lot of the day in there and has knocked down one of my solar sensors for the lights, five times! I am going to have to attach it somewhere else.
