Not much sleep again, I have to give the antibiotics a chance to kick in but meanwhile, not pleasant!  I am really disappointed because we were having a Red Hatter lunch, which of course I can’t go to, seeing as I am even finding it difficult to talk!

Mal spent the morning at the allotment bringing a lot back again!

Mal returned to the allotment for the afternoon, Ellie and I sat in the garden.

We watched some football in the evening but I went to bed early.

Not much sleep and my slightly swollen face was much more swollen.

Back to the dentist who looked at my face and said “Oh dear”, and then told me I had a “sub something or other abscess” where he had extracted the back tooth. I wasn’t paying too much attention of the details of what he was telling me, I just wanted it gone! So, he gave me more antibiotics and said to ring him if I had any more problems.

While I was out Mal had made some pea and ham soup for me. Peas from the allotment of course.

We watched the football in the evening, a far better game but I was so tired I fell asleep during the match.

I went shopping in the morning and did very little in the afternoon because of the pain in my mouth. In the end I had to ring the dentist and they want to see me tomorrow. A real shame I was supposed to be meeting Rhys for lunch.

Father’s Day – it always makes me think of Scarlet and Jack and hopefully one day we can explain how very much Torin loved them both. Meanwhile I just hope they are OK.

Mal had a present and cards from Ellie and I!! We were then invited for  a Father’s Day roast at Lou and Rhys’s.  Mal opened his presents as soon as he got there.  A lovely lunch and very nice that River and Maddie came as well. It seems so long since we have seen them. River starts his new teaching post tomorrow as his training is now complete.

So good to be almost “Back to normal”.

I haven’t mentioned it but I have had a lot of pain in my mouth, still taking pain killers. Rhys reminded me today, his took a month to heal properly after his bad extraction. He gave me some Corsodyl to use. Shame the dentist didn’t recommend anything!

We walked Ellie, had breakfast and packed ready to leave. We have been so lucky, we haven’t had to wear a mac all week. It may have rained but not when we were out!

We stopped off at Rye and had a coffee there but the High Street, like many others seems to be disappearing. Such a shame.

When we did arrive home, yes, my roses did look and smell really lovely.

As if we won’t have enough people descending on Sandwich for the Open!

Mal went to the allotment and brought back strawberries, broad beans, peas and salad. So many strawberries and so many still waiting to be picked.

We were in Hastings early so that Ellie could have a swim and we could watch the fishing boats coming in. The problem is they throw a lot of the fish overboard and they land on the beach and Ellie likes rolling on them!

We stopped for a coffee in the old town. I love shellfish and so we went to my favourite shop,to buy lots!!

Mal’s eldest son Kerry came over for lunch. I was watching the afternoon football and Mal and Kerry went for a walk down by the waterfall then Kerry went back home.

We went to Battle Abbey and then a coffee on Battle. It was very humid but at least the rain had stopped.

When we were back to the lodge Ellie couldn’t decide whether to sit inside or outside!
