We took Ellie for a walk along the river and saw our first ducklings of the year. There was a crow trying to grab one so we spent about half an hour shooing the crow away!

As we walked back home there was an old metal gate outside one of the houses with a notice saying free to anyone.  We walked past it and then I suggested we had it as the gate at one end of my allotment was rotten and falling apart, so Mal went back to get it. How nice to recycle.

We then went to King George park in Ramsgate to meet Tris, Violet, Jem and Dom for a coffee. It was cold again. Maybe next time we will be able to meet indoors.

Later Mal went to the allotment and fitted the gate.

In the evening we watched the Hammers game. They won. I don’t know why I am cheering them on as they have now gone above Spurs!

We went to the allotment with Lou and the kids. The kids did have their own patches. Josie has lost interest, let’s hope the two boys continue. We did ask them all at the beginning of this year if they were sure they wanted to continue doing it.

They came back for lunch.

We planned watching Man U but that game was scrapped but I enjoyed the Spurs game, back on form for a while but they should have scored more goals.

I went shopping and it was so nice to go into Clintons and be able to choose some really nice birthday cards. It’s just not the same online. I also bought another birthday present.

I heard from my friend Paula who said she would really like to go away somewhere with her other friend, just like Mal and I have just been away. No sooner said than I had suggested Park holidays and they have booked a holiday down here in Kent, later on in the month. We’ll look forward to that as it will be her birthday while she is here.
