I went into Deal as I had part of a birthday present to collect. I also went into Sainsbury and Aldi. Aldi now has a traffic light system on their door to say when you can enter.

Down to the allotment in the afternoon. Ellie does like it there. Courgettes and peas for our dinner. Yes, Mal will have to get to the barbers soon! In his defence, it was very windy!

We took Ellie to the vets to get her rabies booster on her pet passport. Who knows what will happen next January with Brexit but for now she is covered. That was a different experience at the vets. You go to the reception window and tell them you have arrived. You then tie your dog up at the ‘Dog Tying Station’ and go back to your car. The vet then comes out with another lead and takes the dog in for whatever treatment. You go back and pay at the window.

Obviously Ellie wasn’t too impressed at being tied up and then taken into her least favourite place by  Sue, a vet she hasn’t seen before.

It rained in the afternoon. Good for the garden and allotment! Mal went weeding in between showers.

As Mal says who needs teachers? Ollie and Oscar are both doing very well with home schooling!

I am wondering where the first half of this year has disappeared!

This morning we have been told that our three day break at Powdermills Hotel is off for the beginning of August as they are delaying opening. We have moved it again, this time to September! One day we will get there!

After walking Ellie, I did a bit of tidying in the garden. My star jasmine is blossoming well this year, it didn’t do very well last year. It will never compete with the Pakistani Nights I had in the garden in Cyprus. The perfume from that in the evening was unbelievable. I know Mal calls my passion flower a weed but proof that the insects love it!

Mal was very pleased that Hammers beat Chelsea in the evening!
