After taking Ellie we went to Westwood. I took my car to have a proper clean as it hasn’t been done for ages. Mal and I went and had lunch in the Hooden Horse while we were waiting. It’s where Rhys and I often go and Mal hadn’t been so he wanted to try. He had steak and kidney pie, it was huge!

We had a walk in the country park on the way home, this is Pegwell from Sandwich.

Suffice to say that the festivities were even more difficult this year than the previous year. Grief takes its toll.

We took Ellie out and then drove Tris and Violet back to Margate. From there we went on to Rhys and Lou’s where Rhys had cooked us a lovely lunch of black eyed peas. Very nice it was too.
