A much nicer day and so it was a long walk around the orchards for Ellie and I after dropping Mal off at the station.

I went shopping and collected my new slo cooker.

The sun was even out for our afternoon walk! Ellie was grazing on the grass.

Today the Supreme court ruled that Parliament must vote on whether the government can start the Brexit process. I am guessing other countries must be laughing at us as we don’t seem to know exactly what we are doing!

I caught up with Winterwatch on iplayer and they filmed the most amazing starling murmuration at Studland, the best that has been seen for 30 years. Well worth taking a look. Then of course another Winterwatch in the evening.

Another morning of fog but it wasn’t as important today as I was volunteering at Demelza. The bus was late which didn’t help as we were all freezing at the bus stop. Another good day as we all get on so well although Linda was off sick with flu. I sold another wedding dress!

I can’t believe some of the donations we receive. Today a lady brought in a brand new pair of suede Hotter boots. They retail about £90 a pair. They were still in the Hotter box and carrier bag. Needless to say they were sold very quickly.

Mal does the cooking when I get home on Mondays so that is nice.

Cold and foggy when we walked Ellie, we had to be careful not to lose her in the woods!

The forecast told us it was going to be sunny at 11 so we headed for Howletts. It was cold and the fog didn’t lift at all! We weren’t the only insane people there and quite a few of the animals were out, we had thought perhaps they would all be indoors. The very beautiful Arina was almost posing bless her. She is a Siberian tiger so I guess the weather didn’t bother her. I think we must be the only part of the country that had fog. That’s unusual for us. This was at the zoo…

I think we must be mad and will probably end up with bronchitis or something! Today was supposed to be a better day than yesterday, wrong Mr Weather man. Apart from taking photos we walked around at a very fast pace.

I do so love Arina, she has brittle bone and is limping quite badly, bless her.

We were also lucky enough to see the new baby black rhino….

Another chilly but beautiful sunny morning. We met up with Bob and his owner again. We have now discovered his owners name is Adrian. He was talking computers with Mal and there was something he wasn’t sure about so Mal has told him to come round on Monday and he will teach him.

I drove Mal to the station unfortunately there was a bad accident on the road we needed to go along, so we had to do a lot of diverting and we made it just in time.

After lunch it was so nice I took Ellie for another nice long walk. It was far too nice to stay indoors. On the way back she saw her favourite horse, they run up and down together.

Another very ‘crisp’ morning. We met up with another local and did most of the walk with him and his dog. I have no idea what the guys name is, the important thing is always the dogs name and that is Bob!

Although it was cold the sun was out in the afternoon so we went for a very long walk with Ellie, ending up in our local garden centre for a good look round. I bought some lovely pots there a week or so ago.

It made my day reading this on Kentonline, a lovely lady has donated her £1,000 wedding dress to Demelza and it is now in our shop. There really are some lovely people around. Lauren is trying to find out who it was to thank her.

The latest news is that there is a courgette shortage! It is because of the cold weather in Spain and France. No wonder I couldn’t find any in Tesco.

Another cold day, having to scrape the ice off the car so I could run Mal to the station. Ellie and I walked in the orchards on the way home, amazing sky and sunrise but my fingers and toes were cold by the time we finished the walk. It was through the orchards where I managed to stop Ellie from chasing the rabbits but we saw a fox running through  and I can’t answer for him!

I stayed in the warm, made a lovely stew and did some baking. Mal was home earlier than usual as the Principal gave his students a talk.
