We were up so early and so went for a long long walk.
We thought it would be sensible to pop to the shops before coming home and buy a couple of bits including Cyprus Today. There’s a dish I cook which includes a whole chicken and amongst other things, celery and leeks. The first supermarket had leeks and no celery and the chicken was dated 30/4. The next supermarket had celery but again chickens that had been sitting there for days. By the time we arrived at Ileli they were delivering fresh chicken, today’s date. I thought it would be so easy just “popping in” to Atakara! Oh I forgot to say in Lemar Alsancak, they had a pack of two chickens together on the meat counter, so I asked the assistant if I could just have one. She just said No and walked away!!
While we were out we went to our post box in Alsancak and then thought we may as well check our friends box in Lapta. One letter in ours……the wrong address. Three in the box in Lapta, one with the correct name and address, the other two, not that post box address at all. No wonder so many letters go astray.
Back home and Mal went to David and Kenny’s to sort some computer equipment for them. Meanwhile Torin, Scarlet and Jack came on the web cam. A little blurred as they don’t keep still for long!
In the afternoon we watched the Hammers v Spurs game. Surprisingly Hammers won and they deserved to! It looks as though they will be staying in the Premier.
