Friday 12th September 2025

We went for a walk around the Viking ship and stopped in the cafe for a coffee. A little windy as it is next to the coast.

Thursday 11th September 2025

A trip to Deal, wondering if the road works had finished…sort of, only three sets of temporary traffic lights.

Having watched “Supermarket Own Brands – Which Tastes Best?” I bought Aldi’s Hot Chocolate and Pina Colada cocktail. On the taste tests they preferred the Aldi hot choc to Hotel Chocolat equivalent!!  The hot chocolate for £1.99 is very good, we haven’t tried the cocktail yet!

Wednesday 10th September 2025

A walk in Minster park and so nice there that there are a lot of fruit trees in a public place.

Ellie met some other dogs and really wanted to run and play with them but we still haven’t heard from the consultant following the post op X ray, so can’t let her go too mad yet. When I arrived home I messaged the vets asking when we will hear as it has now been 3 weeks since she had the X ray. Meanwhile Mal is still carrying her up and down stairs!

And the candle that Zoe bought me, I keep for today.

Zoe also sent me a photo of the candle she had in her window, bless her.

Later the vet surgery called to say they would chase up the result but Andre had been on holiday. Yes, we know that but some feedback would be good.

Tuesday 9th September 2025

A lovely day and so we walked Ellie in George VI park in Ramsgate. Half way round we bumped into Ali, her husband and their dog, doing the same as us, making the most of the good weather.

Later Mal went to a “cousins meet up”. They were planning a big family meet up for the future and then decided to have it when we will be away!!  Still, at least he saw his brother who was staying locally for a week.

England football in the evening, a much better result.

Sunday 7th September 2025

I received a very nasty message via whatsapp  from someone pretending to be someone else. It was too obvious by the spelling and punctuation etc. How very sad this person could be so nasty. A good thing I believe in Karma.

In the evening we watched the final of the US Open and yes, Alcaraz took the title.

Saturday 6th September 2025

We walked along the Rope Walk in the sun with Ellie. The ducklings have really grown.

Mal went to the Post Office to return another Amazon item! They are real jobsworths in there “where is your label?”……”erm YOU do it, I have just shown you the QR scan” and it goes on!

Sorting out some of my tomato plants and then really easy, we had a delivery from Sainsburys . All the bulky and heavy things. Made far more tempting that they gave me a 10 pound off voucher!

In the evening we watched the England game, they should have scored a lot more goals!
