It was a cold walk with Ellie and we spent the rest of the day indoors sorting things. Mal was actually publishing books. In the past weeks, he has published one for his step sister and also River and is now doing another for one of my Hatter friends. They can either give money to charities, or “Pay It Forward”, which is what we try and do.

Maybe one day he will publish the many that he has written!

Demelza day. Heather popped into the shop and so it was really nice to see her.

Lou, Ollie, Oscar and Josie came round for Sunday roast. Lou and Ollie are going dairy free to hopefully help with their allergies, so the crumble wasn’t as good as I couldn’t use butter and I made custard with almond milk.

After lunch we took Ellie and all went for a walk.

Margate is evidently a dog friendly place in the winter! Dreamland have opened their Winter Wonderland and dogs are allowed in. I think that is a first. Of course it would have been much better going in the evening when all the lights would be showing up more but we went along in the afternoon.  There were supposed to be a lot of stalls there. In fact there were very few apart from the usual food outlets and the ones there were, were very expensive. The food, well a bag of chips for £3.60, it certainly won’t be the locals eating there, only the hipsters. We weren’t very impressed and it seems we weren’t the only ones.

We walked around and then took Ellie onto the main sands where she is now allowed (after 30th September).

Back home to watch Spurs….result!

Later we watched the Joshua fight. Certainly not what I call boxing. My dad used to be on the committee for Markyate boxing club and we sometimes went to watch the fights.

We took Ellie to Minnis Bay. The sun was out but it was cold, gloves, hats and scarves weather! Ellie is a Cypriot dog who never wanted to swim in the Med. Back in the UK, as cold as it is in December, she is straight in the sea!! Crazy girl.

In the afternoon I started wrapping Christmas presents and writing cards.
