We went for a long walk with Ellie along the river. There are two doctor’s surgeries in Sandwich. One is in “The Butchery”, that didn’t seem too tempting but I decided to try them both, just go in and see what they were like. The first I went in, I asked if they were taking new patients and she said yes. I asked for registration forms and she told me I may not always have an appointment in Sandwich, I may have to go to Eastry and are you on any medication?! I certainly changed my mind about that one, took the forms and left. What’s the point of having a doctor in Sandwich and then you have to drive to Eastry? So what if we are on medication which we are not!
We went on to the second one, really nice there, she gave us forms and asked us which doctor we would like to register with and told us the opening hours! What a difference. We filled out forms for the second one and walked back with them later in the day. So, we have a doctor.
In the evening we went to Gulbenkian Theatre in Kent Uni to see Albert Lee. He is just so good and tells stories during the performance of the time he sang with Joni Mitchell, Eric Clapton etc etc but he was so nice and unassuming. Quite quiet really until he picked the guitar up!! How he played!
We had a really good evening.
